ESP Power Cords - Pro-Audio Studio Applications
MAXIM Entertainment Group - Chicago, IL
Since 1979, Solid Sound Recording Studio has been host to many local, national, and international artists. Purchased by Maxim Entertainment Group in 1994, it continues to flourish. Home to late renowned producer/engineer Phil Bonnet MAXIM Entertainment Group is proud to have been part of seminal recordings by some of the Chicago area's most influential artists. Today, MAXIM produces audio and video recording including mastering and post-production in its two main studios.
ESP power cords have been used on studio monitor speakers, guitar amplifiers, and various other equipment as required since February, 2007.
During this period, Yahama NS-10 monitors were replaced with Mackie HR-824mk2 monitors. Similar performance improvements were experienced with ESP power cords on both the Yamaha and Mackie monitors.
M.W. Production, Inc. - Detroit, MI
M.W. Production is an audio and
video production studio that offers a wide variety of products including audio
and video recording, pre-and post-production services. One of their feature productions is K.E.Y.S.
Kids, a weekly ½-hour television show that promotes learning and instructing
children not to use drugs. Founded in
1994, M.W. Production moved to their current location on West McNichols Road in 2004.
M.W. Production founder and president
Marvin Willis has a wealth of experience as both musical director and later
performing member of The Detroit Emeralds, an R&B singing group popular in
the 1970's and 80's. Mr.
Willis also includes songwriting among his accomplishments, with platinum records for the single and album "Float On".
When M.W. Production
decided to relocated, they chose to perform in-house design and construction of the studio rooms within their
new facility. This provided the opportunity to optimize every aspect for its intended usage. The first project - the main studio control
room (also known as 'The Emerald Room') was completed in 2005. M.W. Production decided to outfit key studio
equipment with ESP's Audio/Video Professional Series power cords.
Power cords were specified for all studio monitors, Apple/Macintosh G5 workstation, control components, and video monitors with IEC connector jacks. Custom lengths were manufactured for each intended installation position comprehending the distance between the component and ac mains receptacle.
ESP power cords have been used at M.W. Production since summer 2006.
